Cancellation and Refund Policies

Cancellations requested prior to document submission may be eligible for a partial refund, less any administrative or courier fees already incurred.

Before submission to the Secretary of State/Department of State:

• Cancellations must be received at least 24 hours before the appointment to avoid cancellation fees.

No Refunds

• Appointments that are canceled with less than a 24-hour notice
• No-shows and same-day appointments. No cancellations on same day appointments
• If the Notary is unable to perform notarizations due to an unwilling signer, inadequate or invalid ID, or the
principal clearly does not understand or demonstrate the mental capacity required to authorize the
notarization, the full fee is expected, and is non-negotiable and non-refundable.


After submission to the Secretary of State/Department of State:

Once documents have been submitted to the Secretary of State or Department of State, cancellations are not possible, and no refunds will be issued.

Expedited services:

All fees for expedited/rush services are non-refundable, regardless of status.

If documents are found to be ineligible for Apostille due to errors, omissions, or incorrect preparation provided by the client, no refund will be issued.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

By engaging our services, clients acknowledge and agree that Megnin Young Notary & Apostille Services is not liable for:

• A foreign country’s refusal to accept an Apostilled document.

• Additional legalization or translation requirements imposed by a foreign authority.

• Delays, errors, or rejections caused by government agencies, couriers, or mailing services.
